the impetus

A few years ago, I stumbled across a tumblr of a graphic designer who wanted to keep his design chops up. To do this, he vowed to create one minimalist geometric image each day. I fell in love with this self-imposed challenge and followed his site, Geometry Daily, religiously. I decided that I would use this as a launch for a geometry class. That time is now. The reason? Although the logic of geometry is stunning, the beauty of the visual side of geometry is inspiring. I want you to be inspired, and to inspire.

Throughout the year you will be thinking about geometry from a logical sense. And each quarter, you will be doing something in order to see geometry from an artistic (aesthetic) sense. The truth is: these two ways of approaching geometry are simply two sides of the same coin.
