In this fourth quarter, you will be introduced to Sangaku, which are "Japanese geometrical problems or theorems, in Euclidean geometry on wooden tablets which were placed as offerings at Shinto shrines or Buddhist temples during the Edo period (1603-1867) by members of all social classes" (from here). You will work on solving some of these puzzles, and then attempting to create your own.
Additionally, if there is time and interest, we will use Packer's 3D printer on 3D geometric art that is created.
